Hi and thank you for visiting!
This is the second blog in the Fatty Boom Boom series, my first Fatty Boom Boom 2 London Marathon details my journey from non runner to completing the London Marathon... If you want to know more about me before that you can read the about me page on that blog.
This blog will be about what happens next.
So a quick bio:
Name: Elle Tyler (aka Fatty Boom Boom)
Age: 37
Occupation: Marketing and Communications Coordinator
I am engaged to Rob, we have been together for almost 4 years and engaged for almost 1 year, and it is because of him that I took up running. He loves long distance running and is currently trying to complete an A - Z of marathons and or ultras.
I entered the London Marathon as a joke 2 years ago and was given a place, I deferred for a year and then was lucky enough to win a competition with Womens Running Uk to be a part of the Big Marathon Challenge. As part of that challenge I was given a personal coach and was sponsored by ASICS and High5. It was an amazing experience and on April 24th 2016 I completed the London Marathon, swearing never again as I crossed the finishing line in 7 hours 18 minutes and 14 seconds.
A week later I entered the ballot for next year!
I now intend to go back to basics, I cannot fault the training and advice I had during the BMC, however 5 months was not long enough to learn to run properly. So I am starting over. I am hoping to improve my fitness, continue losing weight, and increase my speed over the shorter differences to start.
So here I am, its been 3 weeks since the marathon and I am embarking on the next chapter and hope that you will all enjoy coming along for the ride. As with my first bog I promise to be honest to the embarrassing core.
Much Love
FBB
